OnePlus has now launched the new OnePlus 5T smartphone in an official event in New York that comes with upgraded features and design from its predecessor OnePlus 5 that was launched earlier this year. The OnePlus 5T was recently leaked in a number of unboxing videos on YouTube and was also spotted at GFXbench benchmark that confirmed most of the specifications of the device again. The OnePlus 5T is priced at $499 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage variant while the 8GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage variant is priced at $559 in the U.S. which is same as its predecessor.
In India, the phone is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant and 8GB RAM with 128GB version comes with Rs. 37,999 price tag. In Canada, its priced at CAD $660 for 6GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage variant and CAD $730 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage option. For UK and Europe, its priced at £450 and £500 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants, respectively. In UK, O2 is selling the device, in Denmark, its getting sold by the carrier Three and in Finland, its getting sold by carrier Elisa.
The OnePlus 5T comes with 80.5% screen-to-body ratio and with DCI-P3 color coverage and the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. The OnePlus 5T features a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display with 2106 ×1080 pixels, sRGB and DCI-P3 color coverage. It is having a 2.45GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM + 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM + 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage options. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen 4.7 OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo) that is coming to the phone next year according to the company. It also supports Dual SIMs.
It features a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel camera with dual LED Flash, Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, EIS and has a secondary 20-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX376K sensor, 1.0μm pixel size, 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60 fps, 720p slow motion at 120fps. It also comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX371 sensor, 1.0μm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. It has a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge fast charging and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB 2.0 Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack connectivity options and also comes with audio enhancement features such as 3 microphones with noise cancellation and Dirac HD sound. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 156.1x75x7.3mm weights 162 grams.
