Instead of launching the rumoured Nokia 7.1 Plus, Nokia launched the bigger variant of the Nokia 3.1 with the name Nokia 3.1 Plus that comes with a 6-inch display and dual rear cameras. So we might see the launch of the Nokia 7.1 Plus in the company's other event might be on October 17 in China. The company also launched the Nokia 8110 4G VoLTE feature phone for the Indian market as well. The Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with Android One and will get the Android Pie update in the coming months. It has a metal matte finish in most part of its back and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is priced at INR 11,499 (around $155) for the 3GB + 32GB inbuilt storage variant and will go on sale starting from October 9th in India through offline retailers and Nokia online stores. It comes bundled with 1TB data offer for Airtel users with plans greater than Rs. 199 per month.
The Nokia 3.1 Plus features a 6-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with toughened glass for protection and 1440 × 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with two variants with one having 2GB of LPPDDR3 RAM with 16GB (eMMC 5.1) inbuilt storage and the second one having 3GB of LPPDDR3 RAM with 32GB inbuilt (eMMC 5.1) storage and support for expandable storage with up to 400GB additional storage with a microSD card. It runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS out of the box and is also upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie).
It supports Dual SIMs (nano + nano + microSD). It has a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a 3500mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and 3.5mm audio jack connectivity options with FM Radio support as well. The Nokia 8110 4G VoLTE is also launched in the event with Black and Yellow colour and is priced at INR 5499 (around $74) and will be available from October 24th through offline stores, Flipkart and Nokia online store. It comes with 500GB additional data for Jio users. It comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.1GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform (MSM8905) with Adreno 304 GPU. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that is also expandable with microSD card slot. It supports Dual SIMs and runs on the Smart Feature OS powered by KaiOS. It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and has a 2000mAh battery. It comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, USB 2.0 connectivity options. It comes with Drip protection with IP52 rating. It measures 133.45 x 49.3 x 14.9 mm and weight 117 grams.
