In an official event today, Samsung has finally launched the new flagships of the year including the Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. All the new smartphones come with FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O adaptive 120Hz punch-hole or Infinity-O displays. The Galaxy S21 5G and S21+ 5G come with a flat display, whereas the premium Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G has a quadHD+ Dynamic AMOLED curved display.
As for the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage costs $799.99, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs $849.99, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at $999.99 and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs $1049.99. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G with 12GB RAM + 128GB storage costs $1,199.99, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs $1249.99 and the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant costs $1379.99. Samsung also launched the new S Pen which is priced at $39.99, a new silicon case with S Pen costs $69.99 and the new smart Clear View Case with S Pen costs $89.99.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G comes with identical design and specifications with the S21+ having some upgrades over the regular S21. The Galaxy S21 5G features a 6.2-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED Display, 421 PPI, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (48 – 120Hz), up to 1300 nits brightness, Gorilla Glass Victus protection and 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, whereas, the Galaxy S21+ 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED Display, 394 PPI, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (48 – 120Hz), up to 1300 nits brightness, Gorilla Glass Victus protection and 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution.
Both are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm Mobile Platform or an octa-core Samsung Exynos 2100 processor. RAM available is 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and storage options available are 128GB/256GB. Both runs on the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 and support single / Dual SIM options with no expandable storage slot.
It has a triple-camera on the rear side with a 12-megapixel main camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and a 64-megapixel Telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, 3x hybrid zoom, 30X space zoom, OIS, 4K 60 fps, 8K 30fps. A 10-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture is also available. Both support water-resistant IP68 ratings.
The Galaxy S21 has a 4000mAh battery and the Galaxy S21+ 5G has a 4800mAh battery with 25W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging. Connectivity options available are 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, UWB (S21+), GPS + GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, and MST. The S21 measures 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm and weighs 171g while the S21+ measures 161.4 x 75.6 x 7.8mm and weighs 202g.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Infinity-O-Edge Dynamic AMOLED Display, 515 PPI, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (10~120Hz), up to 1500 nits brightness, Gorilla Glass Victus protection and 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5nm Mobile Platform or Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 2100 processor. It comes with 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and comes with 128GB/256GB/512GB storage variants.
It also runs on the Android 11-based One UI 3.1. It has a quad-rear camera with a 108-megapixel main camera with ISOCELL HM3 sensor, LED Flash, OIS, f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel 120° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 10-megapixel Telephoto lens for 3x zoom, OIS and another 10-megapixel Periscope lens for 10x zoom, 100x Space Zoom, Laser autofocus sensor, 4K 60 fps, 8K 30fps.
It has a 40-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. This phone also supports water-resistant IP68 ratings. It has a bigger 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and 15W Qi wireless charging and supports 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, UWB, GPS + GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST connectivity options. It measures 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 228 grams.
