Samsung Galaxy Note 9 retail box leaks out, Specifications confirmed

Samsung is going to launch its next Note series flagship Galaxy Note 9 in an official event on August 9. Now, a retail box of the device has been leaked online that has confirmed most of the rumored specifications of the unannounced device. Recently, Samsung also published a promo video of the Galaxy Note 9 on their Youtube channel which was removed later on by the company. According to the leaked retail box images, the new Galaxy Note 9 will carry a 6.4-inch display and will be backed up by a 4000mAh battery. It is rumored to be priced at 69,990 rubles (around $1,104) for the 128GB storage variant and 89,990 rubles (around $1,420) for the 512GB storage variant in Russia. It is also rumored to launch with Mystic Black, Engineered Blue and Artisan Copper color options. Let’s now check out the specifications of the device from the leaked retail box of the device.

According to the leaked retail box, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will feature a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 514ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and 2960 × 1440 pixels resolution. It is expected to be powered by the latest Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU or Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor with Mali G72MP18 GPU. It will have a 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB/128GB/512GB storage (UFS 2.1) and will also have expandable storage up to 400GB with microSD card slot. It will run on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS with Samsung Experience UI out of the box and will also be available single/hybrid Dual SIM options according to the regions.

The Galaxy Note 9 will feature a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture, LED Flash, 960fps super slo-mo along with a 12-megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture. It will also have an 8-megapixel autofocus front-facing camera with wide-angle lens. It will have a 4000mAh battery with fast charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging and will be water and dust resistant with IP68 ratings. It will have connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5 (LE up to 2Mbps), GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST and will also have stereo speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos. It will have a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and will also have an iris scanner. So, let’s wait for the official event that is going to take place on August 9th next week.
