HTC Desire 20+ announced with a 5000mAh battery and Snapdragon 720G
Taiwan’s HTC has announced the all-new Desire series smartphone HTC Desire 20+ which comes with a bigger waterdrop notch display, a quad-camera setup on the rear side, and a bigger battery to support the display size and features. The HTC Desire 20+ is priced at NT$ 8,490 (around $295) and is currently available for sale in the home country Taiwan with Twilight Black and Dawn Orange colour options. It features a plastic back with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side and a newly designed rear quad-camera system. No details are available about its global debut as of now.
The HTC Desire 20+ features a 6.5-inch HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio LCD with 1600 ×720 pixels resolution. It has an Octa-Core Snapdragon 720G 8nm Mobile Platform (Dual 2.3GHz Kryo 465 A76 + Hexa 1.8GHz Kryo 465 A55 CPUs) with Adreno 618 GPU. It has 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage capacity that is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 10 OS out of the box and is expected to receive Android 11 soon. It also supports Dual SIMs (nano + nano + microSD) with a dedicated expandable storage slot.
It has a quad rear camera with a 48-megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel 115° ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie lovers. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and a 5000mAh battery with support for QC4.0 fast charging. It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack connectivity options. It measures 164.9 x 75.7 x 9.0mm and weighs 203 grams.
HTC has recently launched the HTC U20 5G smartphone that has features like a 6.8-inch Full HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio LCD screen, an octa-core (1 x 2.4GHz + 1 x 2.2GHz + 6 x 1.8GHz Kryo 475 CPUs) Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with Adreno 620 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB (UFS 2.1) inbuilt storage, Android 10 OS, Dual-SIMs, a quad-camera setup on the rear side with a 48-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, a secondary 8-megapixel 118° Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel 2cm super macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
It also has a dual front-facing camera with a 32-megapixel main camera with f/2.4 aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture, a 5000mAh battery with 18 fast-charging QC4.0 and supports 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 171.2 x 78.1 x 9.4 mm and weighs 215g.
